The spiritual gift for the month of AUGUST is WILL!
Your spiritual gift of WILL gives you the ability surrender
your personal ways of thinking, speaking and doing; to allow God’s WILL
to manifest through your life. Your gift of WILL allows you to activate
all your other spiritual gifts because it gives you the ability to take
decisive action. To effectively use your gift of WILL, you must have the
courage to listen to and be willing
to follow the "still small voice" within you for spiritual guidance.
You may ask yourself; "how do I know if it is God’sWILL
or my personal WILL?" This is a challenging question for
most of us; especially when it’s something that you really want to do or something you don’t want to do. One of the
best ways to know whether it’s the WILL of God or your personal WILL,
is to look at the whole situation objectively and remember that the WILL
of God is always the best situation for everyone involved; not
just for you!
This was the same challenge Jesus faced three times when he was in Gethsemane. He wasn’t sure that He was
ready to face death; He pray to God, “…nevertheless;
not as I WILL, but as You WILL.” He knew that when you surrender to God's WILL,
you must let go of your individual fears, doubts and worries, to trust God to
guide you to your destiny! You should use that same kind of courage when making
decisions for your life too!
Consciously or unconsciously, at some point, everyone wants to do
the WILL of God; however, most people are not sure of what that means. Sometimes,
you just want to do what you want to
do, how you want to do it, no matter
what. That’s not using your gift of WILL;
that’s called being willful and we all have had those moments! All of us are
still, “a work in progress”; so don’t be too hard on yourself as you continue
to grow in consciousness beyond that type of thinking.
Each day trust God’s WILLfor your life; allow yourself to
release your doubts, fears, and past mistakes, knowing that God’s WILLfor you is unfolding right now
through grace and perfect ways. Don’t let the temporary challenges of today; keep
you from your destiny. Remember, the WILL of God for you, is always
for your highest good and greatest
joy! It is true, you let It be and there It is, Word!
